Two principals will lead Central Kitsap High School.
The school’s current assistant principals, Gail Danner and Craig Johnson, will team up to lead the school as Principal Stephen Coons announces his new plans effective July 1st of this year after nine years as Central Kitsap's Principal.
Danner and Johnson are two very qualified individuals, said Superintendent David McVicker.
“As we build a new high school and adjust programs, we’ll need the maximum amount of high quality leadership in place as possible,” McVicker said. “Gail and Craig can provide our students, staff and families the best support.”
Division of specific duties will be decided over the coming months.
Both said that they’re excited about working with their school community to ensure each student has the support to reach their goals and dreams.
“As we work to serve the CKHS learning community as co-principals, we intend to continue to foster the excellence that has long defined CKHS. We look forward to imagining what great things are to come in the future,” they stated jointly.
