Guidance Counseling

The Counseling Staff at CKHS provides a variety of services to assist students with their high school and post high school academic planning, college applications, scholarship information, and any issues that may arise to support and ensure academic success.

The Counseling Dept. office hours are 7 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Counselors are available on an appointment basis from 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Students or parents who wish to talk with their counselor may do so by signing up in the Counseling Center with the Counseling Secretary or call 360-662-2442 to schedule an appointment.

Students should not leave class to come to the counseling center unless there is an emergency or the counselor has sent a pass.

Many helping professionals are available through the Career/Counseling Center including a drug/alcohol counselor, a school psychologist and school nurse, as well as professionals from the community who serve students within the building. Parents and students may confer with any school counselor for further information on services available.
