Parking
Parking
Every year, CKHS makes as many parking spaces available to students as possible. However, the number of spaces is limited, and parking on school property is a privilege, not a right. All students who park in our campus lots are required to display a valid CKHS Parking Pass.
Parking pass requests for juniors and seniors will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis throughout the school year. Sophomores with a valid driver’s license and insurance may also submit a parking request form; however, historically, we have not had enough available spaces to issue parking passes to sophomores. If spaces do become available, sophomore requests will also be processed in the order they were received.
Please reach out to Campus Security with any questions.
-
All students who park on campus are required to have a valid parking pass. Student parking is not permitted in the visitor lot.
If you have any questions or concerns, please see Campus Security in the main office.
- Obtain a valid driver’s license and appropriate insurance. Both must be in place before you request a parking pass.
- Pay all student fees and fines on your student account so that you are eligible to receive a parking pass.
- Complete the CKHS parking pass request form, either online or at Cougar Family Night.
- CKHS Parking Form 2026–27 : link will go live August 26 at 5:00 p.m.
- You will need your vehicle and insurance information to complete the form.
- Parking pass requests will be approved and issued for Juniors and Seniors in the order they are received.
- Once we have issued passes for all available spaces, the pass request form will become a waiting list, and we will evaluate parking capacity throughout the year to determine if more passes can be issued.
- In past years, we have been unable to offer parking passes to sophomores due to our limited capacity.
- Parking passes are not required during the first two weeks of school, August 31–September 11, because it will take us some time to process all requests.
- Once a parking request is approved, students will receive a notification at their school email address. The email will include the parking contract and instructions for paying the $20 parking fee and collecting the pass.
- Displaying a valid parking pass allows students to park in the CKHS student lot during the school day.

- Endangering people or destruction of property
- Exiting campus through our bus lanes.
Parking violations will be addressed by building security and/or administration, and possible responses include:
- $15.00 fee (initial ticket) *
- $30.00 fee (subsequent tickets)*
- School discipline / Vehicle search (see below)
- Car immobilization (boot) or towing
- Revocation of parking pass for balance of term/year
- A $50 fine for replacement pass
*Tickets will be issued to vehicles and assessed under student fines. Fines can be paid at the ASB cashier’s office. Seniors will not be able to participate in commencement exercises until all parking fines are paid.
