Don’t forget to keep wearing your hint of purple as we continue to celebrate this month of the military child. Fun fact…did you know military children move every 2–3 years on average, with the typical child moving between 6-9 times before graduation. Fun Fact #2, Purple is considered the color to symbolize military children because purple combines each branch's colors into one, since the Air Force, Navy and Coast Guard all use shades of blue, the Army uses green and the Marines use red. Come out to support your fellow classmates at the Purple Up Track Meet today starting at 3:30.
Maritime Field Trip, 4/29 Love being on and around the water? Interested in learning more about career opportunities in the maritime industry? Join us for a day at NW Maritime Center in Port Townsend! This is a full day field trip to the NW Maritime Center in Port Townsend on Wednesday, 4/29/26. You will leave CKHS around 8:00AM and return to CKHS around 4:15PM. There is no cost to attend this event, but you will need to provide your own bag lunch and transportation home from CKHS at the end of the day. Space is limited so sign up NOW in your "Class of" Google Classroom if you are interested.
The Variety Show is just around the corner! This Saturday, April 18th, at 6:30 pm! Come to the event to see singers, dancers, instrument players, and even bands such as Klenow! Tickets are free with ASB, $10 without, and can be bought at the door. This show is also an opportunity to buy your own copy of this year's Figments Magazine, they do sell out though, so it could be worth signing up for Pre-Order, which you can do through one of the posters around school. Again, THIS SATURDAY is the Variety Show!!! Come and show support for your peer performers, for CK Choir, and for Figments Magazine Club staff! P.S. snacks and refreshments will be provided! We can't wait to see you!!
The French Club will be meeting today, Wednesday, April 15th, after school in Room 3208 with Ms. Yee from 2:35-3:30. Today we will be exploring the wonders of escargot! Bon appetit!
Hey cougs! Are you interested in ASL or want to learn more about the deaf community? We're excited to welcome deaf performer Trix Bruce to our very own PAC on Friday, April 17th! The doors will open at 6:30 with the show starting at 7! This show is free admission. It is also a no-voice event, but don't worry everyone is welcome! Whether you already know ASL or are just starting to learn, we encourage you to come out to experience something that may be new to you. A voice interpreter will be provided the night of. Come on out and support this amazing performance and unique event! Hope to see you there!
Prom is almost here! Join us on Saturday, April 25 at Kiana Lodge for this year’s Masquerade Ball. Tickets go on sale April 13 and are $45 with ASB or $55 without ASB. Planning to bring a guest? Guest passes must be completed and turned in by Wednesday, April 22nd. Please remember that Friday, April 24 is a non-student day, and the ASB office will be closed—so be sure to purchase your tickets and turn in guest paperwork early. Don’t wait—get ready for a magical night of masks, music, and memories!

National Honor Society tutoring happens every Wednesday in the library during Advisory, and it's for everyone. Get help in most subjects from knowledgeable peers who understand what you're learning right now. Learning from a fellow student is a great way to boost your confidence -and you might even make a new friend along the way. Can't wait to see you there!
