Today during Advisory, we will be attending a MLK Assembly. Students, please leave your belongings, including cell phones and backpacks are to be left in your third period classroom. After the assembly you will be dismissed from the assembly to go back to retrieve your belongings from third period and then go directly to fourth period.

No School Monday, January 19th in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Do you make art, take photos, write poetry—even just in class, write plays, music, or poetry? Then you should submit to Figments Magazine! We have our spring contest going on right now, with the theme "rejuvenate"! Submit regularly or for the contest with the universal qr code on any of our posters, or with the link in our Instagram bio! Earlier submissions will be favored to be selected, so act fast! Again, submit any of your work to Figments Magazine!

CKHS Boys and Girls Wrestling is hosting our annual Wrestling Tournaments on Saturday January 17.  Please come out and support your fellow student athletes.  Boys will wrestle in our 48th Annual MatMan tournament in the Main Gym.  Girls will wrestle in the 2nd annual Lady Cougar tournament in the AUX gym. Both tournaments start at 0900.  See you there!

West Sound Technical Skills Center Open House, February 12, 2026, 5-7PM. Stop by and tour the school, learn about programs, meet the teachers, ask questions and get an early registration code!

Cooking and Connections Club is hosting a dog supply drive through Thursday, January 22nd. All items collected will be donated to the Kitsap Humane Society. Items being collected are: Towels, blankets and linens (without holes) Costco, PetSmart and Petco gift cards Milk Bone brand dog biscuits (regular flavor without any added colors) Wet (canned) and dry dog and cat food New toys Or check the Kitsap Humane Society website for more ideas Items can be dropped off in rooms 1208 (Ms. Perrone), or 1201 (Ms. Flint) or in the collection box located in the commons. Thank you for supporting animals in need!

Attention Cougs! Appointments are now open for the January 26 American Red Cross blood drive. HOSA members will be signing students up during all three lunches, so bring a completed and signed permission form to secure your appointment time. All donors will be helping patients in need and will receive a gift card from the Red Cross, redeemable at the merchant of their choice.
