Host a French Exchange Student

Bonjour !

Andégo Internships Abroad is welcoming a small group of French teens to Washington for about two weeks this autumn. Andégo is currently seeking host families for these visitors who are enthusiastic about meeting a new friend from a different language and culture. Hosting a French teen is a wonderful cross-cultural opportunity for any family who might be interested. Knowledge of French is not a requirement to host. All families are welcome to apply! Students arrive by plane on Saturday, October 17th and depart on Friday, November 1st from the SEA-TAC International Airport in Seattle, WA. PSAT/NMSQT

PSAT/NMSQT Opportunity for CKHS Sophomores & Juniors! The PSAT/NMSQT offers valuable benefits for students—it provides practice for the SAT, personalized feedback to highlight academic strengths and areas for growth, and the opportunity to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program along with other scholarships (juniors only).

Registration opens on Monday, September 21st! To register, students should pay $18 at the ASB office or online by Wednesday, October 7th. The test will take place on Wednesday, October 14th, from 7:30 AM–11:15 AM in the CKHS Satellite Gym.

Encourage your student to take advantage of this opportunity as an important step in their college preparation journey!

AP Exam Registration & Payment Is NOW Open

If your student is enrolled in an Advanced Placement class at CKHS, taking the AP exam in May gives them an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and, depending on their score and the college, potentially earn college credit or placement—which can save both time and money in college.

AP exam registration and payment is open September 14th through November 6, 2026. If your student is enrolled in an AP course, we encourage you to review the information and consider registering for the exam.

School Pictures

For students wishing to have their photo retaken, Retake Day will be held on October 20.

All school pictures will be taken by OPG.

Student/Visitor Identification Reminder

A note about IDs - everyone coming onto Campus should always be prepared to show ID.
  • For students: On your way in, you'll show your Student ID to Office staff. If you don't yet have your 26/27 ID, have PowerSchool open on your phone, or be prepared to provide your full name to office staff so we can verify you are a current student.
  • For adults, including volunteers:  You will need to scan your State-issued ID on the Main Office iPads each time you visit. (The iPads do accept photos of your ID.) Our new system doesn't allow us to print any badges without an ID scan, even if you are "on file."

Parents: Help Your Student Get the Most Out of Their CKHS Experience!

Please remind your student to stop by the ASB Bookkeeper's Office and purchase their 2026-27 ASB Card. The ASB fee provides outstanding value and helps students stay connected to school activities throughout the year.

Benefits of the ASB Card include:
  • Free admission to regular season home football, volleyball, and basketball games
  • Free entry to school plays
  • Discounted tickets for dances and special events
  • Support for CKHS student activities, clubs, athletics, and ASB programs

If your student has already purchased an ASB card but does not yet have the 2026-27 ASB sticker on their student ID, they can stop by the Bookkeeper's Office to have it added.

Yearbooks Are On Sale Now! The 2026-27 yearbook is available for purchase through September 30th. Reserve a copy now so your student can look back on all the memories, achievements, and milestones from this school year. Quantities are limited, so don't wait until they're sold out!
