CKHS Hosts Women's Panel

CKHS was proud to host a special Women’s Panel on March 30, giving students the opportunity to hear from seven inspiring women from our local community. The panel featured professionals representing a wide variety of careers and life experiences, including education, public health, nursing, engineering, cultural leadership, wellness, and the arts.

Our guest speakers included Azzia Leger, tattoo artist; Wendy Bourne of the Suquamish Tribe; Gabriel Outlaw-Spencer, M.Ed., IMH-E; Adrienne Hampton, Public Health Educator; Chelsea Hall, Nurse; Glynnis Klinefelter Sio; Kelly Thomas, Chief Engineer in Defense and Space; and LaShaye Stanton Phillips, Head Doula and Etiquette Coach.

Students had the chance to ask thoughtful questions and hear each speaker share her personal journey, professional accomplishments, and words of encouragement. The panelists offered meaningful insight into the many different paths to success and inspired students to think about their own future goals and possibilities.

We are so grateful to these amazing women for taking the time to connect with and encourage our students. Events like this help strengthen the connection between our school and community while empowering the next generation of leaders.

Prom-2026 Coming Soon!

We are excited to share that Prom is just around the corner! This year’s Masquerade Ball will take place on Saturday, April 25 at Kiana Lodge. This special evening is always a memorable event for our students, and we look forward to a wonderful night of celebration, music, and fun.

Tickets will go on sale beginning April 13 and are $45 with ASB or $55 without ASB. If your student plans to bring a guest, please be sure the guest pass is completed and turned in by Wednesday, April 22nd.

Please also note that Friday, April 24 is a non-student day, and the ASB office will be closed, so we encourage students to purchase tickets and submit any guest paperwork ahead of time.

We are excited to help make this a special and memorable experience for our students!

Peer Tutoring

A word cloud graphic with the central word 'TUTORING' in large, bold letters.
Families, we’re excited to offer peer tutoring every Wednesday during Advisory in the Library as a welcoming, supportive space for all students. Whether your student wants to strengthen skills, get extra help with a class, or learn alongside classmates, peer tutoring is a great place to grow confidence and succeed. It’s also a chance to connect with other students. They might even meet a new friend while learning together.
