Beginning with the 2026-27 school year, when a classroom activity requires the use of technology, students will be expected to use their school-issued Chromebook. Personal laptops, tablets, iPads, gaming devices, and other personal electronic devices may not be used during class unless the school has approved a specific exception for a student. This change only affects access in CKHS classrooms, so students may continue using their personal devices at home or while participating in off-campus programs such as Running Start, West Sound Tech, or other similar programs.
We made this decision after reviewing feedback from students, staff, and families. We understand that many students prefer their own devices and raised valid concerns about Chromebook speed, blocked resources, Running Start/West Sound coursework, and specialized learning needs. At the same time, staff feedback strongly reflected concerns about classroom distractions, effective monitoring, assessment security, and consistent and appropriate use of classroom technology. Using school-issued Chromebooks as the standard classroom device when technology is needed will help create clearer expectations and a more consistent learning environment. We also recognize that some students may experience real challenges with Chromebook use, and our staff will work with students and families to navigate concerns related to access, functionality, coursework, and learning needs.
Thank you for your support as we work to maintain a positive and productive learning environment for all of our students.

Student parking passes for the 2026–27 school year will be available to request through the CKHS website beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26. Parking is limited, and requests for juniors and seniors will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis until all available spaces have been assigned.
Sophomores with a valid driver’s license and insurance may also submit a request, but historically we have not had enough capacity to issue sophomore passes. Students must have a valid license and insurance and have all outstanding school fees and fines paid before receiving a pass. Because it will take time to process requests, parking passes will not be required during the first two weeks of school, August 31–September 11.
For more information and to access the 26/27 parking pass request form once it goes live, please see the parking section of the CKHS website: CKHS Parking

High school supplies vary depending on your course selections. Teachers will share which supplies are needed for their classes. Some basics, like backpacks, earbuds, several pencils and pens are helpful. Returning students should also plan to bring back their school-issued Chromebooks, fully charged. We will check out Chromebooks to new students.

Welcome to all Class of 2027 senior parents, guardians and other amazing adults here to support the kids as they embark on their senior year!
We have a lot to accomplish to make this as fun and successful as we can.
There are many events coming up in this year being planned by the school and ASB, however the Class of 2027 Parents Group is in charge of 4 main things- Senior Breakfast, Grad night (TBD), Baccalaureate, and Senior Grad Gifts for 325 seniors. We can make this happen!
We currently have 2 fundraisers scheduled/in process and a couple that we are in the process of organizing.
1. Buy your yard sign 😊 They are $25.00. These are available for pick up and cash purchase at the Cougar Family Night on August 26th. We will also have other pick-up times available. There are 100 in stock. Don't wait til June.
2. Chipotle fundraiser/takeover August 22nd ***TOMORROW*** from 5-9pm. Orders can be done in person or online. The key to this one if you are in person, you must have the flyer or online use the code. We do not get any proceeds without these. Also, they are very strict and we cannot hand out flyers or be outside during the fundraiser. (See flyer on social media)
3. Parent meeting on September 15th at 6pm, CKHS Commons. Meet the Team, share ideas, answer questions and upcoming dates.
Thank you all in advance for your support as we navigate this crazy year!
