SIGN UP TO TAKE THE ASVAB! The ASVAB will be administered at CKHS on Tuesday, February 23rd. The test is FREE, available to students in grades 10-12, and you don't need to be considering the military to benefit from taking the test. Whether you are planning on the military, college, a technical school, or you aren't sure, the ASVAB Career Exploration Program is designed to be helpful to virtually all students. This is just the first administration, and space is limited, but please sign up so we can schedule more ASVAB dates based on student interest. Please note that you will need to bring your fully charged chromebook, and you will be required to wear a mask at all times on campus. PSNS WORK STUDY NEWS Attention Class of 2022! Good news! The Puget Sound Naval Ship Yard Work Study Program (Student Trainee) will resume. This is a competitive program open to students age 16 or older by the end of the school year, have junior status, and have at minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students apply in February/March of their Junior year and must be available to work full time throughout the summer earning GS-1 pay and benefits. Students return to full-time school to fulfill graduation requirements, and then return to work full time at PSNS the last semester of their senior year. Students will shadow multiple trades at PSNS and upon graduation from high school and successful completion of the Work-Study program, you may be selected to convert to a helper position. The application is expected to open in late February or early March via USAJobs. If you are interested in applying to the program, you are HIGHLY encouraged to start completing USAJobs profile.
