Mock Crash Assembly: Annually during the week before prom, CKHS hosts a Mock Crash Assembly. This year this assembly is scheduled on  May 29 at 9 AM. The crash scene is a dramatic reenactment for our seniors to witness the potentially tragic consequences of teenage drinking and impaired driving. The assembly is coordinated by the CKHS Counseling Department with the incredible volunteer efforts of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Kitsap Sheriff’s Office, Washington State Patrol, Kitsap County DUI Task Force, CenCom, Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue, Kitsap County Coroner, Airlift Northwest, Silverdale Towing, CKHS PTSA, CKHS ASB, CK Alumni Association, CKSD, and various CKHS Staff Members.

The intent of this mock crash event is to reduce crashes, injuries and deaths involving younger drivers and their passengers by using visuals to demonstrate real-life consequences. and awareness facilitates and encourages important traffic safety related dialogue between parents and teens. Due to the serious nature of this assembly we are sharing this advanced notice with you. We know it is possible that some students have past experiences where they may become upset by this simulation they witness.

If you have questions about this event, or would like to request your student be excluded from this assembly please contact:

Graduation: Graduation will be conducted at the Central Kitsap High School Stadium on Cougar Field at 1:00pm. We are able to increase our ticket allocation from four to five tickets this year. Each participating senior will receive one campus parking pass* and five (5) tickets for in-person attendance. The ceremony will be streamed live online. The links will be posted to our social media, website, and will be emailed to you as soon as it is available. CKSD will also post a recording of graduation ceremonies.

*We know some families will need to arrive/depart in multiple vehicles. Off-site parking with shuttle service to and from campus will be available.

Please remember that all seniors must meet graduation requirements and will be cleared to walk at graduation. This means that all textbooks, materials and Chromebooks need to be returned. Seniors will also need to clear fine balances and must meet all academic requirements. As a reminder to all of our seniors, it is important to get these items completed, to be eligible to walk at graduation.

This is a lot of information and we will post updates as often as we can when new details are available. Our goal is to create the best graduating experiences we can for the CKHS Class of 2024. Please email with your clarifying questions.

Thank you all.
