Attention All 9th graders: today during Advisory you will be watching videos with information about registration for your classes for next year. Next week Counselors will be coming to your 9th grade English class to give you the registration form and assist you with how to complete the form. PLEASE take time over the next few weeks to speak with your teachers, talk to your parent/guardian and read the course descriptions in the Course Catalog so that you can make an informed decision about what classes you hope to take in 10th grade. If you have questions or concerns, stop by the Counseling Office. Thank you!
Get ready to set sail on a career adventure! Join Mr. Hunt for the WA State Ferries Career Day FIELD TRIP on Thursday, 3/27/25, at the Eagle Harbor Maintenance Facility on Bainbridge Island! Dive into the sea of opportunities with the Washington State Ferry system. With hands-on interactive stations featuring trade skills and rescue boat events, you'll meet the fabulous crew—deckhands, engineers, and all the behind-the-scenes heroes! Battle of the Bands! Talent Show! Variety Show! No matter what you call it, CK, we need to see your talent! Auditions for this year's Variety Show are Wednesday, April 2 right after school. Dancers, singers, instrumentalists, bands, comedians, spoken word poets, all talents are welcome! Can't come to auditions? Look for posters around the school and send in your video audition by 2 pm April 2. Late submissions can't be accepted.
ROTC/ACADEMY NIGHT, 4/2/25 Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors who are interested in pursuing a career in the military as an officer should plan on attending the ROTC /Academy Night presentation on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, in the Central Kitsap Performing Arts Center at Central Kitsap High School. The main presentation is from 7:00-7:50pm with time before and after to get your individual questions answered. The main presentation will include information about educational and career opportunities, the requirements and process to pursue one of the Service Academies (Air Force, Army, Navy, Coast Guard, or Merchant Marine), College ROTC, and local military recruiters. If you are considering attending a military service academy or participating in college ROTC, you do not want to miss this event!
Parking violations will no longer be subject to warnings. Vehicles parked in our lot without a valid pass will incur a $15 fine, which will be charged to your student account. Subsequent violations will result in a $30 fine. It is important to note that all parking fines must be settled before you are eligible to obtain a parking pass for the 2025-2026 academic year.
According to a 2019 study, 64% of people who have periods reported struggling to afford menstrual products within the last year, resulting in missed work, school, or activities. CK’s HOSA-future health professionals club is taking on this issue starting with a menstrual period supply drive March 20-April 2 This will be a First Period class competition. The class with the highest total donation will receive a class set of donuts. the second highest total donation will receive a class set of rice krispie treats the third highest total donation will receive a bag of Easter candy. Let your first period teacher know that you want to participate or donate to another class.
